This program features two films by Christine Choy. "From Spikes to Spindles" is a raw, gutsy portrait of New York’s Chinatown, capturing the community's early days of emerging consciousness as young and old join forces against police brutality and real estate developers. "Fei Tien, Goddess in Flight" is based on Ginny Lim's play "Pigeons" and focuses on the evolving friendship between an older immigrant and a younger American-born woman in NYC's Chinatown, linking their pasts and potential futures.
