Currents Program 6: Out of the Present

This program features a collection of short films including Laura Poitras and Rachel Lauren Mueller’s They’re Here, Ben Russell’s Another Earth, Vika Kirchenbauer’s This Suffocating Now, and the world premiere of Mara Chavez and doris duhennois’s Morne Fortune. These works explore themes ranging from surveillance and occupation to fractured experiences of the present and alternative histories.
