This free outdoor event, presented as part of AFF’s 2026 Summer Series, features a screening of Karen Thorsen’s James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket, preceded by James Baldwin: From Another Place. The evening begins with live jazz by David Lee Jones & The Harlem Groove Band at 6:30 PM, followed by the film screenings. Director Karen Thorsen will provide an introduction and participate in a post-screening conversation. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. In case of rain, the screening will move indoors to Maysles Cinema.
