Robert Creeley and Stan Brakhage met in the mid-sixties, forming a friendship that lasted until Brakhage’s death in 2003. Creeley described their connection as 'love at first sight' and recognized Brakhage’s deep understanding of film as an art form. Brakhage, in turn, called Creeley a poet of 'dimensions.' This screening features their collaborative work, TWO: CREELEY/MCCLURE, a visual onomatopoeia embodying the individuals and their work. It also includes Brakhage's THE ACT OF SEEING WITH ONE’S OWN EYES and SHORT FILMS 1975 #1-10, both of which Creeley deeply appreciated. The screening on May 16th includes an introduction by Raymond Foye.
