Join us at e-flux Screening Room for "Temporary Exhalations," a screening and discussion showcasing seven moving-image projects from the Cinemovement Laboratory. This artist-run research and residency initiative, established in 2015, focuses on pan-Asian moving-image and performance practices, bringing together artists working at the intersection of moving image, cine-choreography, dance, and mediated performance. The screening will be followed by an in-person conversation with Elysa Wendi and Liao Jiekai, co-directors of Cinemovement.

This screening presents seven moving-image projects developed through Cinemovement Laboratory, an artist-run research and residency initiative focused on pan-Asian moving-image and performance practices founded in 2015. The works explore themes of grief, colonial sediment, inherited bodies, and unresolved absences, releasing them through duration and form. These films are presented as ongoing processes rather than completed objects.
