This event features a selection of short films exploring the lives and works of Peter Hujar, Paul Thek, and their associates, curated by Andrew Durbin. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Andrew Durbin, author of 'The Wonderful World That Almost Was: A Life of Peter Hujar and Paul Thek.' The program includes works by Andy Warhol, Peter Hujar, and Cindy Lubar Bishop, as well as a compilation by Chris Dercon.

Andrew Durbin, author of The Wonderful World That Almost Was: A Life of Peter Hujar and Paul Thek, presents a selection of short films focused on the life, work, and circle of Hujar and Thek. The program includes Andy Warhol’s screen tests of the artists, Cindy Lubar Bishop’s home movie documenting the installation of a Thek environment, and Hujar’s only film.
