This event is part of "Chinese Portrait: The Films of Wang Xiaoshuai," a partial retrospective featuring the lauded "Sixth Generation" filmmaker in person. The screening of *Beijing Bicycle* (2001) will be followed by a Q&A session with director Wang Xiaoshuai. Winner of the Silver Bear at the 2001 Berlinale, the film was banned in China until 2004. A limited number of complimentary tickets will be available for NYC college students with ID at the box office on the day of the screening.
