FUGS FILM! celebrates the spirit of counterculture and the influential music of the avant-garde NYC band, The Fugs. The film, directed by Chuck Smith, delves into the band's history and their impact on protest and creation in the 1960s, featuring insights from original members and contemporary commentators. The first in-person screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Chuck Smith and Fugs member Ed Sanders. The second in-person screening will feature a Q&A with director Chuck Smith and musician Jeffrey Lewis. Sound amplification headphones are available at all in-person venues, and IFC Center also offers a T-Coil loop.
